2D Shooter (Tutorial Project)
This project is an incomplete template version of the 2D Shooter Project for CAS 117 at Michigan State University.
I will be modifying the game to make it my own by doing the following, along with any ideas I come up with as I continue working on this project:
- Graphic/aesthetic overhaul
- Updating sprites and UI elements to put the game in a new context - "Spartan" ships vs "Wolverine" ships
- Possibly changing font to be consistent with the new theme
- Adding several new levels
- Goal of at least 5 levels
- Projectile overhaul/Ammo limiting
- Tweaking the speed at which projectiles are shot by the player
- (Stretch goal) Adding an ammo counter that counts down as the player shoots, disabling the player's gun when it hits 0
- Either ending the game when the player runs out of ammo (not ideal), or adding a way to reload the player's gun (ideal)
- Modifying the world border object so the player can't clip through it
